Healdsburg Country Gardens
When I first met Kurt and Erika, they described a casually elegant celebration in the wine country that would showcase their love of the outdoors, tasty food and good wine. They picked their wedding date specifically to coincide with pre-harvest in August when the grapes hang full on the vine and the days are long.
Erika’s love of birds was our starting point, since she’s always had pet songbirds at home. We incorporated them through the birdcage centerpieces, our lovebird sculptures on the placecard table, and custom fabric and paper birds that adorned the cake. Some of my favorite details: meaningful quotes that were stenciled on fabric streamers that ran underneath the entrance arbor, the raspberry pomegranate lemonade guests enjoyed before the ceremony and the calligraphied glassine bags of French macaroons at each place setting.
